This page explains what this website records about visitors, why it records it, and what it does not collect.
What we record
Each page view sends one record to our own server. A record contains:
- Date and time of the visit
- Country, region and city resolved from the network address
- The page requested
- The domain that referred the visit, or direct when there is no referrer
- Device type: desktop, mobile or tablet
What we do not record
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers or other contact details
- Cookies or advertising identifiers
- Your full IP address. The address is masked before lookup — the last two parts of an IPv4 address are discarded, and IPv6 is reduced to its first 48 bits — and a salted hash is kept only to recognise repeat visits. The full address is never written to disk.
Why we record it
To understand which markets our visitors come from and which pages they read, so we can improve the website and its content. That is the only purpose. The data is not used for profiling, scoring or automated decisions about individuals.
How long we keep it
Visit records are retained for 90 days and deleted automatically after that. Reports show aggregated counts, not visitor-level identifiers.
Who can see it
Access is limited to our internal team. The reporting page is password protected and the data directories are blocked from public access. We do not sell, rent or share this data with third parties.
Advertising and cross-site tracking
We do not run third-party advertising, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking on this site. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.
Access and deletion requests
To ask what visit data we hold, or to have it deleted, use the contact form. Because visit records contain no names or email addresses, please include the approximate date and time of the visit so we can locate the matching records. We will confirm once the request has been handled.
